I have yet to make Goat Curry, mainly because I’m having trouble obtaining Goat meat.
I have ordered Goat Curry from a “takeaway” and I really enjoyed eating it but the container was marked up as “Mutton” so I don’t know if I had Sheep or Goat. It seems that in the UK, sheep (meat) is sold as Lamb (up to 1 year old) or Mutton (over 2 year old) and Mutton appears to be difficult to get hold of. As a child, I grew up eating Mutton – breast, shoulder, neck etc because it was cheap but the taste was awesome. We didn’t know about Lamb.
It seems that Goat is called Mutton in several countries / cultures and Sheep and Goats are know as Mutton so I don’t know where to buy Goat meat from. Maybe I’ll try a Goat Farm?
